In his interview to journalists in Baku President Victor Yushchenko expressed assurance that blockade of switching Odesa-Brody pipeline to forward mode is happening because of political motives.
He expressed opinion that such attitude is explained by “political promises and obligations” of the Prime Minister of Ukraine that she made and took upon herself before September events in the parliament. “The consultations, the Prime Minister had before September in certain capitals and the decisions, the government made after that (directive by the Cabinet to ban forward oil transportation through Odesa-Brody pipeline) … blocked transportation of Caspian oil.
