Internal Minister Yuriy Lutsenko calls on leaders of the State not to involve force structures in political confrontation in the process of preparation to the preterm election, he told a press conference.
The minister informed that as he came to know, President Viktor Yushchenko signed an instruction obliging the Internal Ministry troops to assist the Department of the State Guard of Ukraine in guarding the state objects.
"I recognize a constitutional status of the Head of State as Commander-in-Chief and his right to order about the Internal Forces. I address the President, and I have not another opportunity except for making it at a press conference, and to other leaders of the State, so that they showed self-control and stopped escalating involvement of the force structures in confrontation in the process of preparation to the election. It is a dangerous process, and I make all efforts to hamper it in the zones of responsibility within my competence", Y. Lutsenko stated.
At the time a press conference was held there was no the designated instruction on the President's website.
