President Victor Yushchenko wrote a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko.
In his letter President drew Prime Minister’s attention to problems with financial support to Ukrainian women with ‘Heroine Mother’ status.
According to President these women, who have raised or adopted five and more children, were provided the right for one-time money award with the relevant Presidential Decree of December 25, 2007.
The Cabinet was instructed to work out and adopt the procedure for paying the awards with making appropriate alterations to 2008 State Budget. Despite the fact the payments have not yet started.
“The women, who were provided with honorary ‘Heroine Mother’ status deserve recognition of their contribution in the name of Ukraine”, - said Victor Yushchenko suggesting that the Government applied all necessary measures to solve the issue.
