President Victor Yushchenko held a meeting of National Security and Defense Council.
At the meeting the participants discussed the following subjects:
- minimization of world financial crisis influence on Ukraine
- fighting smuggling and violation of customs regulation
- corruption fighting in Ukraine, particularly in courts system
- state migration policy in Ukraine
- restoration of western regions of Ukraine, damaged by floods
- reforming Security Service of Ukraine.
