President Victor Yushchenko together with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko took part in the opening of the 38th Molodist film festival.
At the event President Yushchenko traditionally presented the festival's symbol statuette «Scythian deer» to the person, who contributed to world film art the most. This year the statuette went to filmmaker Roman Balayan.
In his address to those present President thanked all the organizers and participants of the festival. He also expressed hope that the films shown during the festival would please the viewers.
