The Ukrainian Industry Ministry is planning to resume the annual production of 3,000 tons of mono- and polycrystalline silicon at Zaporizhzhia-based Semiconductor Plant.
Such a clause is stipulated in a draft program for the development of chemical and steel industries in 2009-2013. The annual production of silicon is to be increased to 5,000 tons in the future.
The overall amount of funds to implement the Ministry's program is estimated at UAH 2.75 billion (USD 1 / UAH 4.92).
