Slovakia gives humanitarian aid worth over EUR 215,000 to Ukraine's flood-hit regions

Slovakia rendered humanitarian aid worth around EUR 215,760 to the flood-hit regions of Ukraine, Slovakian Interior Ministry Spokeswoman Ludmila Stanova said.

She said that humanitarian aid includes ten tents, five pumps, and 1,500 sleeping bags. Slovakia's Embassy in Ukraine is expected to deliver this humanitarian cargo to representatives of the Ternopil regional headquarters on tackling natural disasters.

Ludmila Stanova said that humanitarian assistance to those hit by the flood in Ukraine had been allocated at the request of the Monitoring and Information Centre in Brussels, which is operated by the European Commission and involved in quick response to emergency situations.
