In Chernivtsi region President Victor Yushchenko met with children who were about to leave for Artek summer camp in Crimea.
Overall around 600 children from Ivano-Frankivsk and 270 from Chernivtsi regions were provided with free tickets to Crimea.
In his short speech at the event President Yushchenko assured children and their parents that they are not alone in their troubles due to storms and floods.
He also said that currently there are enough funds for restoring the damaged territories. According to him in 10 days automobile connection with 78 settlement is to be restored. Electric and gas mains are to be rebuilt even sooner.
President also promised that families who suffered the most losing their relatives in the storms would not be forsaken and would receive appropriate support.
