As of 0900 on Tuesday, a total of 24,248 families were included in the lists of families that were hit by the recent devastating floods, First Deputy Labor Minister Pavlo Rozenko said at a briefing on Tuesday.
He said that over UAH 38 million had already been transferred to help these families. "We can say that the first stage of payments has practically ended in Vinnytsia, Zakarpattia, Lviv and Ternopil regions. The lists that annually include no more than 10-15 families are being specified there," Rozenko said.
He said that it is very difficult to compile lists and make payments in Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions that were worst hit by the flood.
