At the joint press availability with the Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, President Victor Yushchenko stressed assurance that the political part of the new agreement between Ukraine and the EU would be agreed upon already during the Twentieth Ukraine-EU Summit, scheduled on September 7th. During the following ten to twelve months, according to him, it would be also possible to reach agreement on the economic part of the agreement.
“We will be doing what we can to elaborate the project of free trade zone in 2009”, - Said Victor Yushchenko, adding that despite the great progress, reached on that direction, Ukraine perfectly understands that the question of agreement or association is complicated and sensible for the EU.
