EU Eastern policy should be a Polish specialization, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslav Sikorski said reporting on principles of Poland's foreign policy in 2008 in the Sejm.
Sikorski noted that Ukraine fully proves its aspirations to join the EU. "We encourage our EU partners to promote Ukraine to holding reforms, which approach it to EU membership. Integration of Ukraine will confirm strength of the European civilized model", the FM stressed. According to the Minister, joint holding EURO-2012 by Ukraine and Poland will considerably promote Ukraine's approach to the EU.
Strengthening Polish image in the world should be one of Warsaw's foreign policy' priorities because the country will become a "face" of Europe during its chairmanship in the European Union Council in 2011.
Sikorski also noted that Poland will pay great attention to European energy security. "We consider European agreements, which will testify energy solidarity as extremely important", he said.
Diplomatic corps representatives, accredited in Poland were presented during the speech of the Polish FM in the Sejm.
