Turkish company to partake in Ukrainian transport projects implementation

Representatives of Turkish company Dogus Insaat ve Ticaret A.S. expressed the wish to take part in implementation of transport projects in Ukraine. Burak Talu, board member in charge of the company's business development, said this during his meeting with Ukraine's Transport and Communications Minister Yosyp Vinskyi, the Transport Ministry press service reported.

The company sees three guidelines for work in Ukraine: participation in the development of terminals at the Boryspil airport, the Big Ring Road, and high-speed transport communication between Kyiv and Boryspil, Talu says.

The parties also discussed completion of the construction of a bridge across the Dnieper in Kyiv, and attraction by Dogus of the world's biggest investors in implementation of other projects.

Vinskyi voiced hope for adoption in the nearest future of the Law on Concessions, which would enable investors to feel safe working in Ukraine. "Now we are winding up search for an investor in the construction of the Big Ring Road, as this is a colossal project we are trying to carry out without attraction of government funds," the minister said.

He also informed that transport industry has a lot of objects for investors. "We guarantee to you two things: all procedures will take place on an auction basis, and project details will be clearly reflected in documents that I will not sign until they are free of contradictions," Vinskyi emphasized.
