Within the
framework of his visit to Donetsk
region President Victor Yushchenko took part in celebration of the 63rd
anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war, which took place in memorial
complex “Savur-Tomb” in Snizhne town.
Together with President participants of
the ceremony were Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk, National Security
Council Secretary Raisa Bohatyryova, deputy President’s Secretariat Chief of
Staff Yuriy Bohutsky.
Victor
Yushchenko put wreaths near the Monument to those lost in an assault on
Savur-Tomb, near the Cross to the innocent victims of the war and near the
Eternal Flame. Those present also honored those lost in the war with a moment
of silence.
