President demands road safety emprovement




President
Victor Yushchenko wrote letters to Crimea Prime Minister, heads of regional
administrations and Kyiv and Sevastopol
city administrations with a request to urgently toughen control over road
traffic discipline.



Pointing to
recent aggravation of traffic security in Ukraine with increase of a number
of notorious and heinous road crimes as well as widespread impudent behavior of those who made them, Victor
Yushchenko requested the abovementioned bodies to enlist support from local Internal
Ministry bodies and to apply necessary measures aimed at improving safety on
Ukrainian roads.



On the
results of the conducted work the officials are to inform President in person
in 10 days term.
