The Ukrainian Embassy in the People's Republic of China recommends citizens with children from one to six years of age to temporarily keep from visiting China in connection with a dangerous enteric infection spread in this country. Its characteristic feature is optionality of the infected, in particular, children of the designated age, the Foreign Ministry sources told.
According to the Embassy information, presently the number of the diseased with EV-71 exceeds 25 thousand persons in 28 cities of central subordination, provinces, autonomous and special districts. Total number of the dead persons makes up 33 persons.
Information about Ukrainian citizens among the infected persons was not received by the diplomatic institution.
The case is under control of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
