Transit capabilities in Caspian-Black Sea-Baltic region discussed at international conference

Perspectives of new transit capabilities in the Caspian - Black Sea- Baltic region were discussed by participants in an international conference in Kyiv on Friday.

The forum was attended by diplomats of Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukrainian parliamentarians and leading international experts.

Soon, the project of construction of the Odesa-Brody-Plock-Gdansk oil pipeline will be joined by new partners: Slovakia, Belarus and Lithuania, Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Jacek Kluczkowski said.

"Recently, the project discussion has resumed. The project was supported by the EU. That is why it is not the Polish-Ukrainian project anymore, but also the European one, with consideration of the Russian factor," the Polish diplomat said.
