Meeting of Coordinative Board on Preparation to Euro 2012

On April 2, at 11.30 President Yushchenko will take part in a meeting of Coordinative Board on preparation to EURO 2012.

President signs law imroving procedure of investment into housing construction

President Victor Yushchenko has signed the Law of Ukraine introducing alterations and improvements to financial mechanisms of investment into housing construction. The law had been approved by the Parliament on December 18, 2008.

President takes part in EURO 2012 Coordinative Board meeting

President Victor Yushchenko took part in a meeting of Coordinative Board on preparation to hosting EURO 2012 in Ukraine.

At the meeting sides discussed current situation with preparation to hosting the championship in Ukraine.
Speaking at the event President Yushchenko said that the last UEFA inspection showed that substantial shift was made in arrangement of EURO 2012.

Pointing to problems, authorities are currently facing in that field Victor Yushchenko said that first of all it is important to speed up construction and modernization of sports infrastructure, particularly football stadiums in Kyiv and Lviv.

Also, according to the President, a problem of airports reconstruction remains in Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv. Beside that construction of hotels is too slow and requires attention of local authorities.

Together with his Wife Kateryna Yushchenko, President Victor Yushchenko visited a concert dedicated to memory of Ukrainian composer Volodymyr Ivasiuk.

Yushchenko, Kaczynski honor communist repressions' victims

In Brody city, Lviv region, President Victor Yushchenko and President of Poland Lech Kaczynski took part in a gathering dedicated to commemoration of victims of political repressions carried out against Ukraine by Stalin’s totalitarian regime.

The two Presidents put flowers near the Monument to Bolshevik Repressions’ Victims at Freedom Square of the city and honored the victims with a moment of silence.
