President concerned about storms in the west of Ukraine

President Victor Yushchenko expressed concerns about the situation in western part of Ukraine as a result of the storms.

“Lives of thousands of people fell under threat together with their posessions and agricultural grounds. Threat of the disaster remains within the scope of storm warning”, - said Victor Yushchenko.

“I draw the Government’s attention as well as Prime Minister’s and Emergency Minister’s personal attention to the fact that the situation demands timely and proper reaction”, - added Victor Yushchenko emphasizing that executive authorities must use all means to protect people and their possessions from the disaster.
