President signs decree supporting agrarian sector

President Victor Yushchenko has signed the Presidential Decree ‘On measures aimed at improving financial situation of the agrarian sector of economy and development of animal husbandry”.

President Victor Yushchenko awarded distinct figures of Kyiv with national decorations on the occasion of the Day of Kyiv.

He congratulated those present on the holiday saying that Kyiv is no ordinary city on the map of Ukraine.

On May 29, at 14.00 President Yushchenko will present national decorations on the occasion of the Day of Kyiv.

President meets Security Service head

President Victor Yushchenko met with Security Service Head Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.

At the meeting the Security Service Head reported to the President on the results of joint work of the Service and Office of the Prosecutor General in fighting crime in banking sector.

“Prosecutor General’s Office and the Security Service dedicated their attention to first of all fighting corruption in banking, particularly illegal transfer of budgetary funds abroad”, - said Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.

President Yushchenko instructed PG's Offeice and Security Service to begin work with the NBU to deprive banks that were involved in corruption schemes of their licenses. He also requested that all the authorities informed Ukraine’s international partners on the development of investigation.

On May 29, at 10.30 President Yushchenko will meet Security Service Head Valentyn Nalyvaichenko.

Meeting with Kharkiv Regional Administration Head, Kharkiv Mayor

On May 27, at 15.00 President Yushchenko will meet Kharkiv Regional Administration Head and Kharkiv Mayor.

Meeting with Minister for Family

On May 27 at 14.00 President Yushchenko shall meet Minister for Family Yuriy Pavlenko.
